Of course, as an adult I realize how sick and twisted the Nevada-tan meme was, but the weird cult around it years ago still interests me to this day, so basically this picture is long overdue. Came out kinda weird, though.

Defaulted to Hachikuji ’cause I wanted to draw SOMETHING. The original idea I had for this was the black and white version, but I like the color one better. I mixed up my process a bit, but the end result is more or less the same, which means I should mix things up some more. The background is pretty awful and Hachikuji looks weird. Oh well.

There’s a few issues with this that I can notice: Her eyes came out a little off, the arm holding the umbrella is funny and chest area in general is poorly drawn. That chest area is actually pretty difficult, since there’s a lot of complicated fabric stuff going on, so I usually screw it up pretty bad. There are more issues, too.

But yeah, I just wanted to draw this.

It’s been a while since Comiket but… otsukaresamadeshita…

Nothing’s really inspired me to do fanart as of late (Ikoku and iDOLM@STER are almost there) but I read a random chapter of Zetsubou Sensei recently and was reminded of why I like Fujiyoshi so… I drew her. Again. This is also my first illustration in a looooong while, so it’s a bit of drawing rehab in a way.

The angle of the bars and the perspective of the grid on the ground don’t match up, but I don’t really care at this point.
